One of owner Heather Lockington's passions is gastronomy, so Cotton Tree's kitchens are truly state-of-the-art. Each cottage is fitted with full sized Kitchen Aid appliances, granite counter tops high-end cutlery and cooking utensils, a French press coffee maker, a selection of gourmet teas, coffees, and bottled water.
Cottages are pre-stocked with regular and decaffeinated coffee, bottled water, tea, milk, sugar, orange juice and assorted cereals. Orange juice, milk and bottled water are complimentary the first night of your stay. Cereals, tea, milk, sugar, regular and decaffeinated coffee will be replenished as needed. A personal on-chef chef can whip up gourmet meals or authentic Caribbean meals accompanied by wines selected by a sommelier.

Either Chef Keith or Chef Jason will be happy to provide you with pallet pleasing gourmet Caribbean entrees in the private setting of your cottage or outdoors looking out to the sea under a tranquil starry sky.
With over 30 years experience in the Hospitality Industry, Executive Chef Keith Griffin is one of Cayman's most renowned chefs. As the Past President of Cayman Culinary Society and Director of the Caribbean Culinary Federation, Keith is the Manager of the Cayman Islands National Culinary Team. He is certified as a Culinary Judge for International Competition and Vice Consular Culinary of the Chaine des Rotisseures (Cayman). He has traveled extensively as a Culinary Ambassador for the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism and has won numerous awards in national culinary competitions. Chef Keith has been a featured Chef for Discovery Channel's Great Chefs of the Caribbean television series and the accompanying cookbook, his recipes have been featured in Gourmet, Caribbean Life, Self, Brides Magazine and Bon Appetite.
With over 11 years as a Cook, Executive Sous and Head Chef, Jason started from humble beginnings growing up watching his father prepare food in his restaurant in Jamaica. Actually, little Jason at that time would often be called upon by his father to assist with catering orders for weddings parties and events. As a result of these early childhood experiences and inspiration from his fathers's accomplishment, Chef Jason sealed his decision to follow his passion for cooking by enrolling in the prestige culinary university, Johnson and Wales, in 2002. After graduation, Chef Jason was eager to get his foot in the door at various well known restaurants and hotels nationwide. In fact just recently Chef Jason was Head Chef at Chris Blackwell's Golden Eye Resort in Jamaica. Today he has blossomed into an exquisite authentic Caribbean Gourmet Chef who specializes in putting modern twists to traditionally inspired native and international dishes. Moreover, Chef Jason extended his culinary practice to cater exclusively to one-on-one clients. He truly enjoys the intimate experience of creating and preparing menus whilst interacting personally with his clients. Being a Chef is very personal to Jason. His passion has earned him two consecutive awards for second place at Grace Culinary Competitions and first places at cooking competitions held at Sandals and Beaches resorts in Jamaica. His ultimate goal is to write a cookbook. He feels that publishing his cookbook is an ideal way to express his passion for the flavors of the Caribbean.

All Chef Services are based upon availability. Chef Keith's fee is US$250.00 and Chef Jason's fee is US$200.00 per service Both Chef fees are for the first 3 hours and US$65.00 per hour thereafter plus the cost of the menu selected. 15% gratuity will be added to your bill for each of Chef Keith's Services and no gratuity is charged for Chef Jason's services, you may however tip him whatever you think is appropriate.
